Concord University will host the West Virginia Mathematics Field Day competition on Saturday, April 18. More than 200 students in grades 4-12 are expected to compete.

The awards ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium of the Fine Arts Center.

In conjunction with the mathematics competition, a Science Open House will also be held at Concord on April 18. The open house will feature demonstrations and activities in astronomy, chemistry, geology, biology and physics for K-12 teachers, students and their parents. Most open house activities will take place from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in the Science Building, where schedules will be posted.
