The Division of Science and Research is accepting Mini-Grants for Proposal Preparation. The mini-grants are $6,000 grants to supplement the salary of selected faculty members to allow them to devote uninterrupted time during the summer to prepare research or research equipment proposals for submission to external agencies or foundations. This program may support the applicant in collection of preliminary data, idea development or dedication of time to focus on a larger research program and proposal.
Eligible faculty include tenure, tenure-track and research faculty at all four-year institutions of higher education in West Virginia.
Up to six grants may be awarded in 2013, with no more than two proposals funded from any one college or university. Proposal due date is February 17, 2014. Download the most recent Mini-Grants program announcement and request for proposals here.
