NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium (WVSGC) is holding its first NASA-SPACE Day on the campus of West Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday, October 11th, 2014. The goal of this event is to engage the community in science and space exploration through various science competitions as well as to provide a forum for WV college students in STEM to present the results of their NASA sponsored research in a poster competition. All NASA funded awardees and students who have benefited from NASA programs such as Student Partnership for the Advancement of Cosmic Exploration (SPACE), undergraduate and graduate fellowships, and internships are eligible to participate.
NASA WVSGC is calling for students to submit an abstract of their research in order to enter the poster competition at NASA-SPACE Day. A monetary award will be given to the top poster presentations. Students selected to participate in the poster presentation will have their travel costs and accommodations reimbursed by NASA WVSGC. The deadline for abstract submission is Friday, September 19th, 2014. Further information and abstract guidelines are attached.
