The 10th annual Marshall University Biomedical Sciences Research Retreat is scheduled for noon until 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22, at the Pullman Plaza Hotel in Huntington.
The day’s activities include a poster session, oral presentations, awards and a seminar by Timothy Angel, Ph.D., a Marshall alumnus who earned his doctorate in biomedical sciences in 2003. Angel serves as the Health Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer for the Ross County Health District in Chillicothe, Ohio. His presentation, “Out of the Ordinary and into Your Future: Alternative Career Paths for the Science Graduate,” begins at 2 p.m.
The awards presentation part of the program is scheduled for 3:55 p.m.
