Request for Pre-Proposal

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has issued a NASA Cooperative Agreement Notice entitled “Space Grant Innovative Pilot in STEM Education.” This announcement is accessible through the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/.

The NASA WV Space Grant Consortium (WVSGC) invites pre-proposals from eligible faculty for this Space Grant program. West Virginia may submit a package containing up to two proposals. Each proposal may request up to $500,000 in federal funds for a two-year period.

The NASA WVSGC Board of Directors, upon recommendation from the Space Grant State Director, will approve the proposal package for submission to NASA.

The timeline for proposal submission is as follows:

November 9, 2012 – All pre-proposals must be submitted to the NASA WV Space Grant Consortium via e-mail (Cordwell@nasa.wvu.edu).

November 13, 2012 – Principal Investigators will be notified as to which two pre-proposals have been selected and will be given final instructions and budget constraints.

December 6, 2012 – For the two pre-proposals selected, completed proposals with all relevant signatures and certifications will be due to the NASA WV Space Grant Consortium office.
